While cyber criminals develop new ways to find and exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems, organisations worldwide are increasingly relying on the expertise of cyber security managers.听Keeping networks running smoothly and protecting sensitive data takes constant monitoring and proper听cyber security management. Cyber security managers听are responsible for knowing where a network鈥檚 vulnerabilities lie and the methods cyber criminals use to infiltrate听information systems. They use their expertise and knowledge to avert these efforts.听听听

The听Master of Cyber Security Operations听at听国产精品 Canberra听is for postgraduate students and professional managers who wish to gain a more detailed understanding of the managerial and听technical skills听and expertise required to protect听information systems听and computer networks from听cyber attack.听As a听Cyber Security Operations听graduate,听you鈥檒l听be able to monitor systems for security gaps, design effective solutions and provide detailed reports to executive management on all aspects of听cybersecurity operations.听听听听

  • Students undertaking听Master of Cyber Security Operations听need to complete 48 Units of Credit (UOC) by completing eight 6-UOC courses from the list in the Handbook entry for the program (see the list in鈥疌ourse Availability鈥痓elow).听

    In the听Master of Cyber Security Operations听program, students must complete four core courses and four elective courses.鈥疦ot all elective courses will be available in a particular year. The courses in the program may be taken in any order, but it's recommended that the four core courses are completed first, followed by the four elective courses.听

    With听the听approval of the Program Coordinator,鈥痵tudents with a High Distinction average in four courses may complete a 12-UOC听research project听in lieu of two elective courses. The project is听recommended for those with a strong interest in pursuing original research in a specific area or for those intending to undertake a higher-level research qualification.听

    Students may take up to two elective courses (12 UOC) from other听coursework听programs with the approval of the Program Coordinator.听听
