GERRIC at 国产精品 School of Education supports the NSW Department of Education鈥檚 revised High Potential and Gifted Education Policy,聽operational in all NSW Schools since Term 1, 2021. Our research features聽in the Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE) literature review, which accompanies the policy and provides a major support resource.

The policy identifies that a broader approach is needed to ensure all students who are gifted or have high potential maximise their learning outcomes. Our Mini-COGE contributes to one of the policy鈥檚 key actions to 鈥渂uild teacher and leadership capacity through engagement with quality research and ongoing professional learning on effective practices鈥.

Mini-COGE

GERRIC鈥檚 Mini-COGE provides useful and practical professional development to educators in supporting gifted and high potential students. Gifted and high potential students are not necessarily high achievers; in this course, we focus on how to engage and support these students to reach their high potential.
