Associate Professor Mark Larsen is the Digital Health research lead at the Centre for Big Data Research in Health (CBDRH) at ������Ʒ. He has a research focus on mental health and suicide prevention, and leads the Means Restriction and Public Safety theme of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Suicide Prevention. He is also an Honorary Associate Professorial Fellow at the Black Dog Institute. 

Mark’s research draws on his multidisciplinary background in biomedical engineering (DPhil, University of Oxford), public health (postdoctoral training, Imperial College London), and over 10 years’ experience working in suicide prevention research in Australia.

His research examines the efficacy of novel digital health interventions, the quality and safety of publicly available interventions, and how novel data sources can provide new insights into mental health, using safe, effective, and co-designed approaches.
