Dr Aziz is working as an Electronics Engineer in the Technical Support Group of the School of Engineering and Technology at 国产精品 Canberra. He completed his bachelor and master鈥檚 degree in Electronics with distinction from the University of Peshawar in 2002. He further completed MSc in Communication Engineering degree from the University of Manchester in 2004. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2017 from Auckland University of Technology, for the development of advance controller for Photovoltaic based renewable energy systems with battery storage.

Before joining 国产精品 in Oct 2018, Dr Aziz worked as a Lecturer for seven years at Unitec Institute of Technology where he was course convenor for Electronic Circuits Design, Renewable Energy and Smart Grids, Power Engineering, Sensors and Wireless Communication and taught several other courses in the EE program. Dr Aziz has great interest and passion for teaching with particular interest in linking engineering theory with real-world applications. He is a great advocate of practice-oriented, lifelong learning and interdisciplinary approach to teaching. He is the Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) since July 2021.

Dr Aziz is an experienced Electronics Design Engineer who has worked for various multinational companies in the UK including Randox Laboratories Ltd (Northern Ireland) where he worked on designing detection systems for medical devices; ENER-G Combined Power Ltd (Manchester) where he worked on the controller development for the co-generation plants. He also worked at the Ignite Technology Fund as manager project evaluation where he was responsible for technically and financially evaluating research and development proposals for funding. In New Zealand, he worked at Audio Engineering Ltd, where he prototyped and commercialized multi-zone audio amplifiers and touch screen display for home automation. He is currently working as Electronics Engineer and Wellbeing Coordinator at the Canberra campus of 国产精品 Australia.
