Course overview

The course will focus on methods of generalising calculus to non-integer orders, for example can we take half a derivative. We will also look at the uses of such generalisations. In order to facilitate this we will revise some mathematical methods that are helpful in the solution of fractional order problems.聽聽This is a very active area of mathematical research with many new papers and applications appearing each year.
