Artist statement
This work is a hyperbolic聽narrative sprawled on a body bag via permanent marker,聽crayon,聽and pencil.聽Based on聽experiences working in healthcare,聽I鈥檝e聽observed the hospital treated聽as a聽ghoul house.聽Sickness is uncomfortable because it reminds us of our mortality.聽This is a聽nonsensical narrative imprinted on a symbol of finality, the body bag. It responds to the聽sensationalized聽narratives that have been floating around. The聽frontline are real people聽not a聽faraway聽blackhole.
