Artist statement
Charmaine Walters is an A1 poster that uses alcohol markers and ink to听mimic posters听for comic听books.听The poster was created over a week after a comic was created using visual techniques听such as focal point听and incorporating text to create a comic narrative.听Comic techniques听such as bold ink lines were used听to听mimic a comic style.听The work听explores听narrative听within comics听and the dynamic between image and text.
